a not so happy heart breaker book trailer

  1. Some technology skills i needed to be successful in this project was knowing how to drag things in like pictures, music. I Already knew how to do most things. Some tech skills i didn’t know how to do was credit my pictures and music, drag in transitions, background pictures with text, music. I had a small amount of experience using imovie. I have never really used all of the options i could have used. The hardest technology problem i had was getting the music downloaded so i could drag it in. I solved the problem by going back to youtube and trying to download it again. I am most proud of finishing the project as calm and subtle as possible because i got really held back trying to download the music that ‘’took forever’’. The literary element that i focused on most was the mood that would be set through the book trailer.
The first thing i did to plan this project was to first make a storyboard. A storyboard is a yellow paper with six squares on it. Each square you have to write the text you are going to type on the pictures, a sketch of what pictures you put in the video and the mood you will have when you hear the music or see the pictures. Then go online and look for the pictures you need, but as you are finding the pictures you copy the website you got it from and paste on the document you're using. You also do the same with your music. Then you start the making the video. The planning helped create the trailer because i wouldnt know how to start. I edited my trailer by constantly watching it over and over every time I did something very important like added all of the text. One change i made in the trailer was changing my music. I made that change because the old song i had didn't quite match the mood/theme i wanted.I can't really name an amount of time i spent editing the trailer because i edited it throughout the process of making the trailer. I think the book trailer could use a sprinkle of tweaking, but otherwise is ‘’perfect’’. I thought something that was really good about it was the questions i asked that will make people more interested in the book. I think something i could have improved on was word choice. I didn't enjoy this project. I relished it. Some of the most important things i learned from doing this project is that you have to credit the pictures and music you use. I think i might use these skills later on if i use something similar another time. I would love to do this project again because this is a great thing to know how to use, your learning about the book and you definitely showing that you really understood the book and took your time to read this book, and it was fun.

  2. Nice work, Anna. I loved reading your Reflection--loved your word choice of "relish"!
